Burton Christie: I travel about 40 weeks a year to tour events across the world. Having the opportunity to work with players and these guys out here, the OMs, to make an end product of a great player play great golf on the weekend, that's what makes it exciting. And we don't pay anyone to use our product. So our product is chosen by the players. The player's demand is so high. Each truck has to keep a supply of our product in the van to meet the player's needs each week for new club builds or re-gripping. Unique in the fact that no other component company out here has the amount of supply that we have, or the demand of product that we're able to supply around anywhere from 115 to 125 players each this week using Golf Pride Grips. We will do everything we can to touch as many or all of those players that we can just to check in, make sure they are good. Good to go for this week. What they feel, what they like and what they want in a piece of equipment? We've seen over the last five or six years the size of grips grow out here as far as installation. Players building up the tape underneath the grip to get a larger grip. So we took that overwhelming feedback of larger grip size usage out here and we were able to take that and develop the MCC Plus4, which has done very well for us. Make sure we get our product in a player's hands and you get greater than that 80% that we have now. And that's what makes it exciting.

Here we're on a web.com Tour trailer doing a re-grip for a web..com player. He's looking to get out of his tour velvet rubber grips and go into a tour velvet full cord for the summer just to get a little bit of extra traction when it gets hot and it gets humid and his hands get a little sweaty.

I'm Brett Zollman with Golf Pride Grips. I travel with the LPGA, the web.com and the college tours. I'm on the road about 40 weeks a year just servicing players and making sure they've got the product they need to succeed every week.

We're out here at the Rex Hospital Open this week for the Web.com Tour. Walking up and down the range, checking in with players to see if there's any grips that they wanted to try. We're seeing some guys this week actually changing into some cord grips, something with a little more tack, trying to get with the moisture in the air and the rain obviously around this week. Some of the guys are looking for a little bit more grip and the BCT cord will take care of that.

One of the great things about this tour especially and me working with some collegiate players as well is that I get to watch the journey from them taking their first steps in the college ranks to coming up here and seeing us on the Web Tour, working some things out, and then finally getting up to the PGA tour, and watching them succeed and win out there.

We have about little over 80% usage worldwide on tours every week. Because of that, we got anywhere from 110 to 120 players roughly every week that we need to service on each tour. The manufacturers helps us out a lot by carrying a lot of our product because they need our product. We're pretty unique in that sense that we're the only company that really has that strong of a usage number out here. Probably the most fulfilling part of my job is watching the players have that "ah-ha!" moment, everything clicks. They're very comfortable, and they go out and win, and it changes their life.

Player that wants to try the new MCC ALIGN grip. We showed him the standard size, that standard tape configuration, and he actually prefers a buildup, so we are going to build up this grip and put a couple extra pieces of tape under this one. He prefers a extra half piece under the right hand and then two full pieces. So we've got two pieces of double-sided tape, along with one half piece of double-sided tape, and we're good to go to. Two plus one MCC ALIGN.

Hi – this is Evan from Golf Pride, and today, I’m going to show you how to clean your grips.

Oils from your hands, dirt, sunlight, and hot or cold temperatures all contribute to grip wear over time, leading to slickness & reduced traction.

Keeping your grips clean will extend their life and provide more traction, helping you keep optimal grip pressure and control of the club throughout your swing. It’s a very simple & quick process that can have a major impact on your performance.

Cleaning your grips is simple. You only need a bucket or sink, soap, a soft brush or cleaning cloth, and a towel. Let’s get started.

Simply fill the bucket or start your faucet with warm water and mild dish soap.

Dip your brush in the soapy water and scrub your grip around each side.

Rinse your grip with clean water, and pat dry with a towel.

In less than 15 minutes, you can have your grips feeling like new again. You’re ready to go for that next round.

The ALIGN ... You know where it is every time. So you grip it the same every time.

When you put your hands on a Tour Velvet, it just feels right.

You can hold it and feel like, "Hey, I've got it in my hands." It's soft, it's comfortable.

I know it's not possible for me to grip the club the same way every time, so if there's something that can help me do that, I'm all for it.

It's nice to think about something which you have more control over, because you can feel it in your hands throughout the whole duration of your swing. As opposed to just having a movement and hoping that it's in the right position. I just think the reminder’s another perfect variable that just helps you to always know where the club is at all times.

Just seems easier. I don't have to think about it as much of like, "All right, where is it at?"

Sometimes I struggle and kind of set in a phase where it's open or shut. But these I automatically just set and I just know is it's square and I can swing with confidence.

I can literally be blindfolded, put my hands on the grip and square the clubface.

It helps you get a club in your fingertips consistently.

Speaker 9:

When I set up I know it's squared because everything's lined up and at the top where I can feel the pressure in my fingers and I know it's square up top, too, and I can get a straight ball.

Speaker 3:

It's a no-brainer to be able to line the club up to your target. It's much easier for the average amateur to just, "Hey, let's put it across your fingers and just close the fingers." The ALIGN Technology makes it that much easier.

Speaker 5:

It helps me to really be able to feel where the clubface is at all times.

You know, like when you grip it, it's a nice checkpoint because I can definitely feel where it needs to be.

Speaker 11:

It feels like it's very stable in the hand because of that ridge.

It's a very consistent feel. Just lock it in and get it going.

Absolutely elevates my expectation of what a grip is.

The way I hold the grip, it just fits in my hand perfectly. There's no second guessing it.

Speaker 2:

I thought the grips felt awesome.

It's comfortable in my hands. It's soft. It's tacky.

I love the taper feeling of it. I like this V taper in the back where it kind of flares.

Speaker 3:

My left hand really fits on the grip perfectly.

Speaker 4:

I like that little back flange that sort of rests inside the right hand a little more comfortably for me.

And I love the contour of the pistol in the back.

The shape I can't get out of my hand.

It really feels like it rests my hand a little bit better.

It was easier to keep this secure and on line without the pressure of really squeezing it.

Speaker 5:

Grip pressure is probably the most important thing when it comes in to putting, as far as where our hands are on there and the amount of pressure that we have. Any time we get rid of that hitting sensation and we can soften our hands up, it's going to help us improve our distance controls, and this grip really does that for you.

Speaker 1:

This is a paddle grip allows my thumbs to fit naturally on the putter grip.

Speaker 2:

Having a place where you can rest your thumbs, and you can constantly come back to it, over and over.

Speaker 4:

I've got my hand in the same exact spot, so it just relaxes me a little bit more.

Speaker 5:

Having this grip, it's still giving you a soft feel, yet it's going to give you the response of making solid contact. The response is great, and the feel is spectacular on it.

Speaker 3:

It is just more comfortable than my old one. When the club feels good in your hands, you're more likely you're going to make a better stroke. I mean, I noticed that in my first putt I used with it I made. Which right there, you see the confidence. You see the ball go in.

Speaker 5:

Anytime you can put something in your hand that you feel confident with and comfortable with, especially when it comes to your grip on your putter, you're going to see a huge improvement.

Speaker 1:

So it really is not going to leave my hand unless you guys are taking it from me.

Speaker 6:

I can't wait to get on my putter.

I would absolutely change in a heartbeat.

As soon as this comes out, it will be in my bag.
